We've been there and got the T-shirt! And now we want to share it with you...
We recently ran an event at The Galleria in Johannesburg - and what can we say but, damn!After a few seriously dodgy venues - which we plan to also share with you soon ;) - we were so ridiculously relieved to work with such a well oiled machine. Hats-off to the management and staff of The Galleria for truly partnering with us to pull off a great event.
The venue is a beautiful blank canvas, modern with everything you need to host a dinner or conference. The food was great and the chefs very accommodating for all our weird and wonderful requests. More than enough parking and so nice for a change not to be charged for every spot.
But the biggest shout-out goes to the incredible management who, even having been in the industry for many years, were on-hand (but not hoverers) and so helpful to assist us wherever possible.
Never a rolled eye was seen, nothing was too much trouble and we were welcomed like part of their team.
This service orientation flowed right on to the rest of the team, from more senior team like the legendary Isaak to the dear lady who swept the floor continuously for 2 days straight. It did not matter who we spoke to, they were attentive, respectful, patient and helpful. Qualities so lacking in this industry where so often you are made to feel like they are doing you a favour.
